NHASP LISTSERV

What is a listserv?
A listserv is like an automatic mailing list. When you write or respond to a message to the listserv, everyone on the list receives the message. By responding to messages on the listserv, members engage in dialogues about topics of interest or concern. Even if you do not write to the listserv, you receive all the messages.

Why belong to a listserv?
Discuss professional issues with colleagues. Share concerns, ask questions, compare notes. Receive legislative alerts, employment notices, and NHASP updates.

Privacy and Respect
Remember, the listserv is a public forum. You don't know who is signed on and "Listening". Be respectful of others. Although ours is considered a "closed" group, anyone may subscribe. This means that we are not restricting access to only school psychologists and SAIFs. Discretion and confidentiality should always be observed. Maintain privacy and confidentiality in discussing kids, families and colleagues. If you shouldn't say it in public, you shouldn't write it to the listserv.

Google Groups
Google Groups maintains our list. They maintain numerous lists, called "Groups", some of them open, some of them closed. NHASP maintains our listserv through Google as a member benefit.
